Help noob in need gtx 1060-need 500w

So I want to power this gigabyte gtx 1060  and it says 400w minimum but I don't know what kind of power supply I need or the types available I know my mother board needs a 24pin plug and also a 4pin plug but that's all I know also I need something very very budget but nothing that will kill me I don't care for he 80 plus rating I just don't want it to kill me and also is that even likely? If it's not then I don't care and I'll get one that is like sketchy

Keep in mind getting "one that's sketchy" runs the risk of killing the card. I'm sure someone will post the tier list, and you can pick from that.

where are you located?

I'd suggest the Seasonic S12II if you're in America: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151094&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

$29 after rebate ($45 before), 520W of good quality PSU power.

idk

And it doesn't seem so, take a look. 24pin looks to be normal size, 4pin CPU power, etc.

And why is there no CPU fan? Must be not a very powerful CPU. You sure it won't bottleneck?

That A4 APU is too weak for 1060 imo and you can't use that Intel Q6600 because you gonna need a totally different mainboard.

Also, use 64 bit Window if you want to utilize all 4GB Ram.

Yeah you need to format and install a 64 bit windows. Need to backup your personal files to other partition or external hdd or other pc.

Lol then grab that Seasonic PSU, will last for many many years.

Every standard PSU have 24pin and 4pin for the motherboard, this one come with 4/8 pin connector for those higher end mainboard.
It also have 1x 6+2 pin for your GTX1060.

you're gonna need a better CPU to make full use of the 1060. if your cpu isn't fast enough, it can't utilize the full power of the 1060 graphics card.

I'm confused does that mean it has the black and brown 4-pin connector? I don't care to use the full card I just want to reduce lag in Gary's mod. It's not graphics intensive at all.....

If all you are looking to play is Garry's Mod you might want to look at a different graphics card, a gtx 1050 would work for such a game and save you a bit of money in the process.

That is not a terrible idea as upgrading an older pre built can end up being an interesting mess and building a new computer can allow you to buy lower cost parts to begin with and upgrade up to something more powerful if you need to.
