Goodbye Windows Vista :(

Your Opinion

38 members have voted

  1. 1. Do you think Windows Vista was a slow, buggy operating system ?

  2. 2. Do you think Windows Vista should have been Over-Criticized as it did Before or at launch?

    • It should have been extremely criticized
    • It should have not been extremely criticized
  3. 3. Should have Microsoft End The support later,or now,or should have waited

    • They Should Not Wait more!
    • They Should Wait longer!

Well, today Windows Vista Support Ends,A Very Sad Day :(

Vista was over-criticized at launch and when Beta 2 and Pre-RTM Came Out and were slow, buggy, but that was to be expected since how many features it had just in the Beta's,

Well the normal consumer do not care when a new operating system,Beta,Pre-release Build comes out,but the tech community does (Well you can say me a normal consumer even though i've built, rebuilt systems several times, and i did'nt even notice that windows 10 came out untill later 2015,early 2016)

I've owner 2 Vista Machines from 2008:A Dell Inspiron 530( core 2 duo e6550,3GB Ram,nVidia Geforce 8400 non-gs),and a Lenovo ThinkPad R61 (Core 2 Duo T7300,1GB Ram,Intel Intergrated 965 Graphics,im typing from that laptop,nostalgia:) )

The Dell Machine still runs Vista Home Premium today (The Original Install which was installed when the machine was built,of course,by Dell) though it had a bad motherboard after 5 yrs of use,the socket had bent, non fixable-pins,changed to a cheep generic G31 945 motherboard,it has overheating issues now, before it was fine,it runs RTM!

The ThinkPad Does not run the original install, there were OS changes many times (XP After Vista,7 After XP,XP,Linux After 7,and back to Windows Vista)

I recently install Vista Business 32-bit (By the Product Key on the coa)its kind of a laptop with a dead keyboard, battery, cdrom, lol

The Dell Machine with a Generic has overheating issues, sometimes shuts down before completing post! and for the same reasons has BSOD's in Vista, but hey you cant blame it on vista since its a hardware issue. So i dont touch the system that often anymore

The ThinkPad Works fine with SP2 (The Reason that the dell still has SP0,known as the RTM,since i get errors while installing SP1,but it works fine with RTM)

I've never had a problem with Vista, works great! I dont see a reason Vista Being Criticized, its fine,Even My Dell machine with constant use (before overheating) beat a sorta morden acer with a dualcore-hyperthreaded i5 with Windows 7.

Goodbye Vista,you will be missed

I thought Vista ran very well, but the issue resided in the PCs of that day being old or incompatible with the OS. I still have two of my Vista keys available for use as VMs.

I do not like the poll to be public and expose my name for loving Windows Vista so much even though people are saying it sucked and will roast me till I die

Nevertheless I voted

I've got the CD... and you can make USB installers and bootable (by flipping the removable bit) drives for it as well.

The biggest problem with Vista was that consumers assumed it would've ran just as well as XP did on hardware that was barely capable of running XP in the first place... So you had systems with 512mb of RAM shipped with Vista that were hopeless.
