Your Opinion

  1. 1. Do you think Windows Vista was a slow, buggy operating system ?

  2. 2. Do you think Windows Vista should have been Over-Criticized as it did Before or at launch?

    • It should have been extremely criticized
    • It should have not been extremely criticized
  3. 3. Should have Microsoft End The support later,or now,or should have waited

    • They Should Not Wait more!
    • They Should Wait longer!

Well, you can covert an old computer into a media hub for many, many other non-sexual uses. This thread has corrupted old PC reuse tips!

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

When XP was about to go EoL, they mentioned it in the news on national television on several occasions in the final week.  With Vista ... nothing.

That just shows how unpopular it was and how little they care about the 0.5% that still use Vista.

EDIT :

As for Vista .iso files, here's another good link.  Pay attention to the first 2 characters, you wouldn't want to waste gigs on a Russian .iso if you need English :

A large part of that is because of the extended delay between the XP launch and the Vista launch.  Normally, MS has a 3 year cycle (give or take) between OS launches.  It was 5-6 years from XP to Vista (they did release XP Pro x64 in 2005, but that wasn't widespread).  Given that, people became much more accustomed to XP than they did with previous versions of Windows, so much so that MS extended the EOL deadline for it.  And so it was much bigger news to people when the EOL finally came, than with other versions.

My links above are english, and those are files when ms was distributing these files back in the day, when you bought vista, but there is no harm in downloading even if you did'nt buy vista (to use as a disk to use to install windows using coa's on the computer)

The first thing Msft needs to do is update the RAM manager so that it supports 192 GB of RAM. That's literally the only reason that I'm not using Vista right now.

Vista has x64. It supports 16TB of RAM if you ever need it.

I was under the impression that the way it got you above 128 GB got you into serious performance issues. Can anyone confirm this?

Not likely to be proven and not likely to occur. The issue would happen in Windows 7 if it was.

I'll have to track down a 64 bit version, install it, and find out for myself.

I can verify that Vista Home Premium supports only 16GB of RAM.  If you put 32GB in there, it'll only see half of it.

Same story with Business, Enterprise and Ultimate, but the limit there is 128GB
