Will Ryzen work without a GPU

These are the parts for my PC Build

- Ryzen 5 1600

- GHigabyte AB350m D3H - http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-AB350M-D3H-rev-10

- 8GB Corsair vengeance 3200Mhz RAM

- GTX 1050 Ti

- CX 430 PSU

- Deepcool cabinet

- Benq GW2470H 1080p Monitor

I am planning for 16GB RAM because it is cheaper than a 8GB one if you buy twice and I will be needing another 8GB RAM soon. So I am thinking to skip the graphic card save some more money in a month and get GPU after a month.

But one of my friend said that the motherboard won't POST and I won't get any video output if I don't buy a GPU. I know that Ryzen doesn't have an integrated Graphics. But that also means that I won't get any video output from my motherboard's HDMI port?

Also I see in the motherboard(link given above) that it has a onboard graphics processor. So what is the purpose of that?

And if I skimp on GPU now will I get video output and can I use my computer or is is necessary that I should buy the GPU now?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

The 'onboard graphics' is talking about the onboard graphics on the processor, a feature on AMD's APU line of processors for AM4 coming out in the future.

no, Ryzen has no intergrated GPU and while it will post and so on you wont be able to get any display out. the display outs will only work with the AM4 APUs that are comming later

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
