rm650x cables on cx750m?

The pinout of the CX750M (Type 3) and RM550x (Type 4) are the same. The difference is on the 24 pin (4 extra v.sense wires on the RMx) which is irrelevant as the 24-pin on the CXM is hardwired. Other than that, the Type 4 cables has some capacitor on the PEG and EPS12V connector to help with ripple suppression.

Jonny made that (he's Corsair's current PSU Product Manger)

So I bought braided cables for my old cx750m. Once I upgraded I found that the braided cables fit my new psu so I continued using those cables. Now I'm trying to sell my old psu and wanted to know if the cables that came with my new rm650x would work with the cx750m

They seem to fit fine, but I don't really have a way of testing weather they work electrically.

It would be best to ask Corsair. My guess is gonna be no but there's always the off-chance they do work.

Yeah that would be the best option. I just figured since I'm using braided cables meant for the cx750m on the rm650x currently that they were backwards compatible or something.
