I recently purchased a GTX 1050 Ti. Should I have waited for Ryzen/Vega for a low budget card?

yea it would have been a good idea but your good now long as you are happy with your 1050 ti.

You should've saved a bit more for the massively better RX 470.

Vega is high end and Ryzen isn't likely to have an APU that can compete with a 1050ti anyway.

Vega is high end. You should have bought a 470 though.

You can always wait longer for something better.
