Watchdogs 2 Problem

So I have a gtx1080 and a I7 6700k and The game on my lg 21:9 1080 monitor runs like crap. I can get 30fps but it rockets up and down for no reason. They blocked overclocking too, is it a bad port?

Yes Watch Dogs2 have been heavily criticized for being very poorly optimized

Turn down settings.

From everything I've heard. It isn't really a bad port, more it's just a complete hog of resources.

Increase your GPU settings if you're not using all of it.

 

It's a massive city with a lot of people, so expect the CPU to work hard.

I have afterburner or whatever, but when I launch watchdogs it wont work

I don't know how you're not, but I'm getting about 60-70 consistently on 5760x1080. Have you looked for any INI tweaks that you can do?

Im on ultra with a 1080 21:9.

i even uninstalled the extra graphics and it still sucks...

Yeah WatchDogs 2, easiest solution is to uninstall and refund.

I have gtx 1080 Dx12 MSI gaming X, i7 6700k, 16 gb ram, and I would overclock but it rejects it

Somewhere between high and ultra.

 

I would look through the page I linked since I can't remember everything off the top of my head. I think one of the AA options for Nvidia drops you down 20hz by itself.

I'll try. If you have GFE, set the game to optimal and drop it by [2] ticks and those are the settings that I started with.

Ok I just tried it, Im waiting for my game to restart

Yeah, the game is really demanding. Not even my i5 can keep up anymore.. 

 

Turning on Temporal AA Filtering helps in gaining a ton of fps. However this setting is similar to what the checkerboarding technique in the PS4 Pro uses. Honestly I do not notice a huge difference between it and native res, but there is traces of ghosting while in motion.

Do you have motion blur on?
