New gaming rig help

YouAreError

Hey guys,

I'm trying to build a Gaming rig, I've looked online at prebuilt ones but I'm not sure if I would be getting the right machine so I decided I'd try and build one. I have a budget of around $700-$800. All I really need is something that can run most new games at 1080p with a solid frame rate.

You should get a custom PC. Choosing your components is always the right decision.

I'd recommend an i5-6400, 16GB RAM, a decent H170 motherboard, power supply, GTX 1050Ti or GTX 1060.....

I can provide the PSU if you need (I'm selling a spare PSU). Look at signature for details on PSU.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

How to setup MSI Afterburner OSD | How to make your AMD Radeon GPU more efficient with Radeon Chill | (Probably) Why LMG Merch shipping to the EU is expensive

Oneplus 6 (Early 2023 to present) | HP Envy 15" x360 R7 5700U (Mid 2021 to present) | Steam Deck (Late 2022 to present)

Mid 2023 AlTech Desktop Refresh - AMD R7 5800X (Mid 2023), XFX Radeon RX 6700XT MBA (Mid 2021), MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon (Early 2018), 32GB DDR4-3200 (16GB x2) (Mid 2022

Noctua NH-D15 (Early 2021), Corsair MP510 1.92TB NVMe SSD (Mid 2020), beQuiet Pure Wings 2 140mm x2 & 120mm x1 (Mid 2023),

check the build i listed. i think the money on a h170 board is better spent on a b150 board with an i5 6500 and a 1060 6gb can be fit in no problem

You didn't take into consideration peripherals or OS. OP says he/she wants performance at 1080p so an RX 470 would be just fine.

he just said build plus windows can be found for cheap on reddit and kinguin so why not get better performance if you can. a gtx 1060 can max any game at 1080p and is faster than the rx 470

I should have probably been more specific, sorry,  I have a separate budget for gaming peripherals already. Although I have to ask what version of windows OS should I be running on? Sorry super new over here

I have a few different moniters I've been looking at. Greatly considering going with a dual monitor display

go for windows 10 the parts list i picked out should work really well for you. the case can be changed for a different one if you dont like the look. i find it nice as i have built in it before. if the parts are too expensive you can reduce the price by going with a 500B and a different 1060 6gb like the evga one but it should fit with the black friday deals coming up.
