Help GPU doesn't fit

Pyrobot

I have MSI gtx 1070 armor OC, and it doesn't fit in Corsair air 240. So what should i do?
Should i just buy a new case that fits, or cut the part that makes the gpu doesnt fit?

I'm just so confused,Bagan.jpg

I think you have two options:

1) Return the card and get one that fits

2) Get a bigger case

Good luck in your adventures

Well if the actual PCB, not the plastic shroud doesn't fit, me personally I wouldn't cut it.

Although, perhaps someone with more knowledge would know the significance of that part of the pcb

I personally wouldn't recommend cutting off any part of the card. Not only does it void any warranty, but it IS likely to kill the card if you do anything even slightly wrong. My advice would be to cut you case or buy a smaller card.

Ok, so cutting the cart isn't an option. My only option i think is buying a new case, since returning the card is already impossible at my place where i bought it.

On my old case. I bought a new zotac 780. Turned out it was a little longer than expected. So i removed the cage covering the fans.

So it was bare. Had to use zipties for cables not to block the fans lol. On new case i got more than enough room. But now with waterblock.

So ontopic. If possible try to unscrew the parts which is in the way. Else just get a new case.
