Going to upgrade to a GTX 1080

DatProJoe

Hey guys!

I am being gifted a GTX 1080 and some people have said to me that I need to make sure that my motherboard will be compatible with the 1080.

The motherboard I have is linked HERE, so I was hoping someone could reassure me that I won't have any problems.

For added info, I am upgrading from a GTX 760 SC and my CPU is a Intel i74790k.

Thanks

There is literally nothing wrong with your setup.

Enjoy the glory - I've got a very similar setup myself (Sabertooth Z97 Mark S, 4790k @ 4.5 and the GTX1080) and its just a freakin' blast.

Sounds awesome! Still can't believe I convinced the person buying it for me to actually get it, although they did promise!
