I go to a 20 man Lan this october. After that, i will know if its a virus, thats spreads......

To make things a little bit clearer: The cute little Theory with the virus is just my one litte cute "conspiracy" theory, that i did not rule out yet. I also recognized, that my perception changed massively the last 5 months. So I see flickering jaggies everywhere on different devices and media. For example on my smartphone in videos of games. I compare videos on my tablet with vids on my 2nd monitor and also with vids on my smartphone. Keep in mind, that a 1080p resolution on a smartphone screen looks way sharper and better than on a 27 inch monitor(i have 2 btw). I also have to say, that i usually need glasses to have a better vision of objects and texts in the distance, but i once stopped wearing the glasses and maybe my brain is compensating a little bit,  for me not wearing the glasses. I also played way to many games, so my brain is so used to spot even the smallest details on every movement speed level :D sorry for my bad english btw. So, to sum things up. It feels like a virus, but maybe it is just a massive change in perception. I also will get some new glasses, to give my eyes and brain a rest :D

its your eyes mate, you said it yourself that you stopped wearing glasses and everything started looking fine

I stopped wearing glasses 6 years ago. The visual change happened in May. Its just a change in perception. A "Once you seen it, you can t unsee it" Situation. My mates will look at my screen once we are at the lan. And i will check their graphics. Then I will know, if its me or the PC´s ;D

well nevermind. I installed Sea of thieves today. The flickering lines and edges while moving are insane in this game.

and this is just nighttime. At daytime these bugs get really crazy, because there is way more lighting effects and sources.

I've got the same issue. Started happening about a 8 months ago. Hadn't actually used my PC in about 4 month, turned it on one day and everything was good for a couple months, then one day I started noticing these horrible jagged lines. Got an Xbox One X and they were there too, unlike on my Xbox One. But now they're on the Xbox One as well. I've tried a 4k monitor and it helped a little bit (not for objects in distance though) but I can't push out the frames on 4k with my GPU so there was no point and I returned it. Surprised this thread has been going on for 4 years an no solution

I contacted nvidia most of the replies i got were bullshit drivers reinstall windows reinstall change display and stuff i had already tried all that but one member of the nvidia customer care said that shimmering is a brain glitch. I don't know what he meant by that but it kind of makes sense because my friend's don't notice the problem in theri or my pc unless i tell them and also why there is no solution and nvidia is not aware of this problem

well, i checked on my friends gear too. They don t see it. But I am happy now, because i know its me and not my pc. I still will visit a brain doc, just to rule out cancer or other diseases. and mybe it will go away, when i have my glasses.

I solved the problem friends, what I did was delete the drivers with DDU, then use Windows Update so that Windows itself could install the drivers, without having to install them from the official AMD website. Magically the problem disappeared :)

already tried this. doesn t work. and am pretty sure it doesnt work for most ppl.

Don't you think the problem is the directx api?
I think the games are running with directx 10 or 9

It could also be that the vram is storing something wrong. Or in the bios something is limiting the performance of the pc.

Another solution that I remember:

I have unplugged my speakers and a lamp that shared the same gang socket and wall socket - the problem has completely disappeared. it was electrical interference with the monitor.
I have DDU, all the other things in previous posts here, was about to re-install windows but as this was a new monitor I got the manual out and it said remove all electrical equipment near the monitor - boom problem gone! no ******* sound now though haha
I really hope this works for anyone faced with this issue

Unfortunately AMD isnt the solution. As I explained they doin it too. When this happens  4 times in a row on 4 completely different setups, iam pretty sure this is on purpose. Maybe its actually time. This is happening at least since 5 years. I don t want to buy intel gpus, but maybe i have no choice. Maybe they don t do bs like this.

Even my phone had this issue. How come my phone infected with this. My phone shows jaggies same with my pc.

Unless this issue isn't escalated to higher authorities like Nvidia, AMD and Microsoft, we won't find the solution. We can continue to yap away at the forum without any solutions. Unfortunately, we don't know how to raise the issue.
