Pokemon Go on tablet

Hi (I am sorry if this belongs elsewhere, but I wasn't sure).

As most people have, I have had Pokemon Go for a while. I am playing it on my Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 rooted with CyanogenMod Lollipop.

I have gone on a data plan today, and I've only just realised how slow it's going to be and how bad the battery drain is.

I do, however, own a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 tablet.

Is it possible, using a hotspot to share my data with my tablet, that I could play it on there? It is not a cellular tablet, so is that going to be an issue?

Thanks, Alpha.

Pokemon go; hmmm I've never liked it.

But I've heard from players that it's mostly GPS dependent and only uses data to download info about Pokemon in your location.

So data drain won't be as bad as other games.

If the GPS is good playing it shouldn't be a problem.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

My LG G3 can be at 100% and an hour or 2 of pokemon go drains i to like 30%. Also some of the slowness and freezing is due to the servers being overloaded. Pokemon Go caused my phone to over heat today. My phone actually put up on the screen that it needed to be turned off to cool down. Plus it was like 88 degrees F.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

It'll use around 10-20MB every time you go out and use it. And running it over WiFi is fine, as long as the game can refresh the location of Pokemon and the status of gyms? Also sync whatever progress you make with the servers. As long as it is able to do that while having a lock on your location it's fine.

It's better on a phone, tablets require a longer swipe to throw the ball. Longer swipe has more room for errors in drawing a straight line, tho I think you'd have a lot more control over how much power you're throwing the ball with to get the right distance.
