Id buy a used server off ebay, cheaper and faster(dell poweredge 2950/r710/hp dl180 g6/dl380 g6/dell c2200. Also don't get dual lga 771. It runs hot and will wrek your power bill.

You don't need a gpu if your not gaming, those mobos has gpu's on board

Id go dual 1366 if you can spare the extra money.

If you want a desktop get a dell t7500 off ebay

With the power supply make sure the board has standard atx connections and that it also might require an extra 4pin cpu connector as well as sn 8 pin cpu connector because the fb dimms can use about 100 watts for just the ram so you have to have a fan to cool them.

Also most modern cpu coolers aren't compatible with 771, and ddr3 ecc is pretty cheap so going dual 1366 may save you money in power bills as well as more performance because most 1366 cpus have hyperthreading as well so you can have up to 24 threads.
