The most annoying thing about apple is all the haters that criticise them. Last year I actually wanted to switch to a Samsung S6 but nope... More expensive than a 6s. The 6s is the best when it comes to the nvme storage solution and the camera. I've also found myself using force touch more than I thought I would. The fingerprint scanner is still the best I've ever used.

 

Also my 4s still doesn't lag whereas every android phone I've ever used lags like fuck after 6 months.

Also if I wanted more customisability I would just jailbreak my 6s but it's fine it's a phone not a computer it doesn't need any more options then there are currently available

IOS7 was solid as a brick. Same with past versions. Now every update is just broken. The bugs I mean are like just the dashboard disappear of the home buttons just doesn't work. Or swiping down gets stuck or an app glitches out or the screen rotation is messed up.

Basically everyone already said what I was gonna say but I'll still say it from my point of view.

•Everything is overpriced and for people that game on macs the price to performance is very bad.

•Their OS lacks of customization in every way compared to other brands.  Basically the only thing you can really change for customization without jail breaking is changing the background. :(

i dislike Apples attention to form over function. Nearly all of there products lose so much potential becuase apple doesnt want to have vents, making there computers thermal throttle and act less powerful then its specs would suggest. Also, upgradibility seems minimal on many of their laptops. To swap the battery on my Dell, i just pull to switches and it pops out. To upgrade ram or HDD, i simply remove 2 screws and put new ones in. Apple laptops look much more difficult to upgrade.

I wouldn't call it a hate, it's a dislike and sometimes even the lack of appreciation :|

 

Inflexibility (ugrades, peplacement of parts, customization, software/hardware incompatiblities (even if this isn't only their cup of tea) ... and so on)

 

Policy *just how it feels* 60% Design and Marketing, 30% Software 10% Hardware

 not even that they doing it bad on these three in general, since Design (artistic wise not functionality cause this lacks sometimes ) is a question about taste. To evaluate software over Hardware is also fine for me too since they're not a hardware researching company they just (let) build cosumer oriented devices and sell them. And even the point hardware is also not a absolute desaster, their only a bit lacking on inovation and improvement after they set a statement for the next upcoming generation in my opinion.

 

Sometimes Pricing for general things everyone know 16GB more don't need to cost at least 4x of the market price, but this is like local electronic stores where you have to pay 25 Euro for a 0,5m long HDMI 1.0 cable, they charge on things which the people sometimes have to buy because they need it or they can't get it elsewhere in the precise moment.

 

And as always, the nonsense'ish enemy education and that no one can or will loose against the enemy even if facts mark them as a liar.

Things I dislike about Apple as matter of principle:

-The obscene lack of customization and compatibility in their products.

-The oversimplification of everything, from iOS to their spec sheets.

-The pricing.

 

Things about Apple that aren't functionally meaningful, but irritate me to no end:

-Superlative and deceptive marketing (Everything they do is "magical", and even when they get to a product last it's somehow "revolutionary", like the Apple Watch).

-Rose gold, or as I call it now, "Pretentious Pink".

 

Then there are things that they've done somewhat recently that just make me think they're screwing around to see what they can get away with:

-The new Macbook. Everything from its IO (you know, the only one it has) to its name to its price.

-The iPad Pro. I can understand where it's a good device, but they tried to make a laptop-replacement with iOS and a single lightning port.

 

And, lastly, the Mac Pro. They just don't care about desktop users.

In fact, go ahead and read through the product page on their website. They haven't updated it at all in years, meaning half the stuff on it is actually lies by this point.

The thing I hate the most?  Well, I don't actually hate Apple.  I quite prefer OS X to Windows in fact.  But if I had to pick something, it's how Apple moved away from user-upradeable parts.  I don't care if the laptops just allow you to upgrade the RAM and storage, if I choose I want to do that, let me.  Don't solder the RAM to the logicboard. 

The only computer that you can upgrade is the Mac Pro, which you can upgrade everything in there, even (according to this article I read a while back) even the GPUs, if you can find GPUs that fit the form factor.

 

But that's what I hate the most.  I like to buy base models and upgrade the stuff inside myself for cheap.  Can't anymore since the 2012 models.  

Currently focusing on my video game collection.

It doesn't matter what you play games on, just play good games you enjoy.

The anti-Apple brigade is the worst thing. everything has its place, just because they personally have different priorities and wouldn't pay x for y they claim anyone who does is an idiot.

i have a Windows gaming and work rig, I've just ordered an xps 15 but also I have a MacBook Air, and I have an iPad. Many people would think £750 is too much to pay for a MacBook for what I use it for (Facebook and YouTube) but it's a lovely product and I wanted it.

Probably the most annoying thing is not every decision Apple makes is a smart one but because of their position in the market, other companies always scramble to copy their move.

 

Good decision by Apple:

Apple decides to put a finger print sensor on their phone.

 

Market:

HTC scrambles to compete and puts a giant ass shitty sensor on the back of a phone with low tier components.

Samsung takes their own derivative of the design requiring you to slide your finger, just not as good.

 

What's even worse is even Apple's RUMORED decisions create a stir in the market.

 

Bad decision (rumored) by Apple:

Apple rumored to remove the headphone jack.

 

Market:

Some chinese company releases a rose gold phone with a headphone jack strangely missing.

My only real complaint about the phones is the battery life... I'd like to be a bit thicker and have a better battery. As for the laptops? Uhhh.... Really only that I think they need one more USB port, so they can use a flash drive / external drive while charging.

no other device have this  problem ( not to mention it just is a design flaw ) . But's let talk about the iphone 4 "death grip" , or how a lot of ~2008 era macbooks failed just after warranty. Or the recent "bendgate"  for example . Only the touch IC chip has that problem.  Just that one chip . And underfill doesn't have the only benefit of protecting chips from drops . I also reduces the wear caused by heat cycles and more . Because of this , you can expect to fail quicker than other phones . No other phones have this problem . Not the galaxy s6 , heck , not even the iphone 6S .

 

And the worst part is that they expect you to pay 600$+ for the phone . 

 

And when people point out the flaw , they don't anything about it until a class action lawsuit is filed.

The annoying thing about Apple is how polarizing they are. They create and encourage an "us vs. them" mentality that the Apple users picked up on, and ended up causing non-Apple users and Android fans to polarize just as much. This helps create peer pressure situations that encourage more people in the target audience (read: young affluent adults) to buy the latest iteration of the iWhatever each year. However this also causes those who can't afford Apple tech, or who have decided that apple products aren't for them to be really militant about it.

Then there are things that they've done somewhat recently that just make me think they're screwing around to see what they can get away with:

-The new Macbook. Everything from its IO (you know, the only one it has) to its name to its price.

-The iPad Pro. I can understand where it's a good device, but they tried to make a laptop-replacement with iOS and a single lightning port.

Yeah, Apple's been making a lot of REALLY SHIT design choices lately. I'm convinced they're smoking the same thing Snapchat is! Remember the iPhone battery case? At first I agreed with the masses in how dreadful it looked (indifferent about it now). But that pales in comparison with some of the other crazy shit. 1 USB type-C on the Macbook, hell at least HP, HP of all people, was smart enough to pack 3 of them and include adapters in the box!! Putting the charging port ON THE BOTTOM of the magic mouse 2. And also having the Pencil stick straight out of the iPad while charging. I mean, unless you're going to have the Pencil stick out (the same way your wallet sticks out a white flag) of your bag, it's going to be really difficult to carry it around.

 

Oh yeah, Apple, word of advice, you can't make a TRUE laptop replacement when it runs a bottled down OS made for mobile devices. Tell me how I'm going to put a REAL version of Vegas on the iPad and edit it on it without a legitimate file system.

Market:

HTC scrambles to compete and puts a giant ass shitty sensor on the back of a phone with low tier components.

Samsung takes their own derivative of the design requiring you to slide your finger, just not as good.

 

Ok, the Samsung one was only on the S5. It's tap for the S6/7. Also, swiping on the fingerprint scanner works. I have an S5 myself that I've used for 2 years, and it identifies my thumb print every single time.

 

 

 

As for what I hate about Apple. Oooh boy, we'd be here for a while and I could probably write out an essay and it'd take up half to 1 page on the forum. But if I had to choose one thing? Probably their walled-off garden. There's a serious lack of customizability on iOS, can't sideload apps, it's a huge pain in my ass.

The S5 was notorious for having a bad fingerprint sensor. Okay, wasn't bad but was annoying. the S6 and S7 is much much improved.
