Does this setup work?

Go to solution Solved by RespawnCake,

I wanted to use that for some games, but I've changed my mind and decided to put everything in the pc.

I want to buy the pc asap, but if it's better to save up a little bit, I'll try my best to do that.

I think you should get pc now it will last for next 3years on 1080p higher settings. There's always something better coming, new amd in a month/two then new gen nvidia maxwell in Q1 2014 and then again amd.No point on waiting, get now the best you can for 900$ and play

I'm building a game pc, this is my first build.

And I'm not sure if this works toghether.

CPU:                 AMD FX-8350 Black Edition

GPU:                 MSI R7850 2GB/OC

Motherboard:    MSI 760GA-P43 (FX)

Power supply:   Cooler Master B500

HDD:                 WD Blue 500GB

RAM:                 Corsair Value Select 2x4GB

Case:                Cooler Master Elite K380

If you have any suggestions to change some parts, I would like to get your opinion!

My budget is around €720 or $960.
Thanks in advance!

He could easily fit haswell in that budget you are right.

But dont even fit 8350 with 760 board. AM3 supports yes, but not 125w 8 core cpu...

get 970 if you want to skimp on mobo. gigabyte have 85$ mobo that support 8350 and can even overclock a little with no stability issue

Like he said, I wouldn't put an 8 core cpu on that mobo.

Where are you shopping and what's the system for?

I'm shopping in a Dutch site called http://www.azerty.nl for pc parts, the prices are not too high there.

I'm building this pc to play games like Black Ops II, BF4 and GTA V (If it comes to pc :P), and I also am planning on upgrading the gpu in the future.

Thanks, but with the first setup, won't the gpu be bottlenecked by the cpu? And I don't need a supergood gpu in the basis build, since I'm planning on upgrading it later on.

Thanks for the tip :)

It looks very nice, but I don't need a 7950 for now.

What other cards fit with that motherboard in the pricerange of 100-150 Euros?

Back to my first build, what motherboard would fit with that cpu?

Why limit the budget for the gpu? You shouldn't be allocating separate funds for individual parts but instead planning your build as a whole.

I'm limiting the gpu budget because I want to upgrade it to a GTX 760 later on.

A 7950 outperforms a 760.

Ah okay, then I'll upgrade it to a 7950 later on :P

My point is, I do not yet have to money for that build, I'll have to wait like 3 months to get 800 euro's.

Then save up and build later instead of buying a gpu now and upgrading in 3 months.

Then I'll have to be PC-less for 3 months, because somebody wants to buy my current PC, that can't be because I need my Pc for school.

If I could save up, I would sure do that, maybe I'll wait for christmas :P

I think you should get pc now it will last for next 3years on 1080p higher settings. There's always something better coming, new amd in a month/two then new gen nvidia maxwell in Q1 2014 and then again amd.No point on waiting, get now the best you can for 900$ and play

You could consider to get @WoodenMarker his build and not get the SSD.
Altho having your OS on the SSD is nice, it's not something you must have.

That way you stay in budget. Aswell something for any dutch person on this forum.

Tweakers.net have a pricewatch. Altho when shopping from 1 shop. The shipping costs are much lower then when shopping from 7 shops.

It's something I will always look at.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Yes I could do that, but I've come up with another build, which I think is best.

CPU: AMD FX-8350

GPU: MSI R7950-3GD5

RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis 2x4GB 1600MHz

Power supply: Cooler Master B500

Case: Cooler Master Elite K380

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3

HDD: WD Blue 1TB

The only thing I would change is the PSU, it's not an 80plus PSU. The XFX Core Edition PRO550W is only €8 more.

On most games gtx760 beats 7950 boost or is on par.  But hd7950 is a bit better if one wants to OC.

You should always oc.
