That was actual the picture of the old Asus Rampage V board I tried to use(Twice). Had to get rid rid of since it was DOA on arrival both times.

Don't forget Their all USB 3.1 and Type-C. Plus two USB 2.0 ports for keyboard & Mouse.

I meant the I/O shield specifically. It looks like something I could go home and whip up with aluminum foil.

That's Asus shield not one from MSI. MSI is allot nicer, It also has padding.
