What would you choose? (For BF4)

Eddyyz

Hey guys, what is the best graphics card here (Performance-wise). I need to upgrade for BF4 and don't know which one will the best for the game. I will towards the end of the year look at buying the same card and going SLI. I understand the game isn't out yet but based off the current benchmarks etc for each of the cards please give me your choice.

Choices:
1. EVGA GTX780 ACX 3GB.

2. MSI GTX780 Twin Frozr Gaming.

3. Gigabyte GTX780 Windforce3X.

4. MSI GTX780 Lighting Edition.
5. Asus GTX780 DirectCU II.
6. Or any other cards that you would highly recommend.

(Im a green boy btw, don't like amd ) ;)

Thanks

Overall for cooling, they are all about the same. However, the Windforce and DirectCU II cards(and maybe the Lightning) have re-designed PCBs. Therefore, you will get cooler components on the PCB which makes them last longer and also allows your video card's efficiency to be higher.

If they all have the same core, they're all going to perform more or less the same.. Aftermarket coolers and redesigned PCBs can help a bit, but the primary factor deciding performance is the core itself..

I would just go with the one that you think has the coolest looking cooler..

I am plannning on building with 780 (or Maxwell if it comes b4 I begin to build) too. I think i will go with Windforce, because it matches my colour scheme. But if your budget allows you to, then go with Lightning or DirectCU II. Windforce is not a bad choice either. Just bare in mind, it does not have a custom PCB (Correct me if I'm wrong).

What ever fits your color scheme the best, they are all basically equal, Lightning is gimmicky since the GPU itself has locked voltage.

AMD cause it will be bundled with BF4 and give better performance for the price. 780 is overpriced. If you want nvidia get a 770 which is still overpriced but not nearly as bad as 780 .

Yeah, it might run little bit better on a AMD card, wich is why i chose a 7970 and i'm also an nvidia guy.

If 770 was $300 then I might choose it. As it were I cannot see the logic in spending $100+ more on a 770 when you can get the 7970 for $100 less and it will perform better.
