Plug laptop zif connector under motherboard?

I needed to do a repair of my Lenovo Thinkpad T440 and was able to take everything apart successfully but now I'm trying to put the thing back together. When the laptop is facing bottom up the keyboard and trackpad connectors come up to the motherboard right in the middle. However they're just long enough to reach their connectors and therefore not long enough for my hands to be between the motherboard and the rest of the case. The attached pictures will probably do a better job of explaining it. Any magical ideas?1454480725699774444639.thumb.jpg.a1361bd14544807746461583385644.thumb.jpg.aa232414544808051371542085713.thumb.jpg.eaf36f

Hi.

You may have to resort to using a tool like a spudger or a screwdriver to push the connector in from the back because that's what I've had to do with those connectors. It should work fine.

Do something like this^

If that doesn't work visit /r/thinkpad on reddit and ask your question there. Those guys do tons of shit with Thinkpads and someone would most likely be able to help you out there

I recently had to take apart an Apple Pro Keyboard to clean it. The ZIF connector just pushes in from the back of it and there is no strain on the connector as long as you put the right end of the ZIF connector in xD.
