They cost $800. Did you freakin' read my budget? And no, they aren't headphone cocaine either. Plus, if I did stretch my budget, I'd be shat on by shipping and how my country taxes things.

Welp, so far, the feasible ones I can audition are the T1's and the W1000x.

Well, its gonna be the fourth time I'm gonna audition the T1's and a first for the W1000x.

I'm still open for suggestions @.@

Have you actually heard the HE-500? The Fidelio X2 is comparable to the HD600 and 650, but all three of them don't really compare to what the HE500 gives.

 

No. Not nearly as good as the HE-500.

The Fidelio X2's are lemonade nice at best. Still miles far away from cocaine nice.

Anyways @captain_Slow I've tried the W1000x. It was really good, slightly off in terms of what I was looking for in sound quality and sound signature compared to the HE-500, but I am really impressed with it.

@ShadowCaptain I've auditioned the T1's again, this time for atleast an hour. Its actually really nice and can somewhat go toe-to-toe with the HD800... the problem was that I noticed the treble peak at 8khz which makes it fatiguing. Despite its comfort, I felt like wanting to take a break from using it from time to time. While positional audio accuracy and soundstage is arguably/subjectively better than the K701 or the Q701 (I hate these headphones, but gaming with them is pretty much a dream. Kinda spoiled me in terms of soundwhoring), that troublesome treble, though...

Whats tempting is that the T1's cost $450 since its in a store-issued discount. I'd like to have one strictly for gaming, but for everyday use? I can't even keep it on my ears for more than 20 minutes due to the treble...

Yeah, that concerns me a fair lot. It wouldn't beat the HE-500 for cocaine fun, but if it wasn't for that brightness and a bit on tweaking on the detail, it'd be a contender against the HD800.
