i3-4150 vs G3258

Hi guys, I want to ask. I was offered with a i3-4150 and g3258 from a seller and the price difference is about 30$ which one should i go for if I am going to game and edit videos and photos?

i3 defo.

Then upgrade to an i5 at a later date on 1150 socket.

I'm guessing the G3258 was $30 less. But to really make use of it's overclocking potential, you'd inevitably need an aftermarket cooler, which would put the price difference to 0. That and, as mentioned already, hyperthreading make the i3 seem like a better choice.

4150 is Better than Pentium for sure.

This is not true. You can OC the pentium EASY with stock cooler. It runs actually about 50 degrees celcius while load @ stock ;)

I have a G3258, and overclocked it matches the i3 in game-performance. Multithreaded tasks like rendering will run like shit tho.

The 4150 easily outperforms the G3258.
