reliable rumours say the 9970 will have:

- 20nm

- 4gb vram

-4096 stream processors

-four geometry engines

-16 serial processor units

-256 TMUs

-64 ROPs

-512-bit memory bus

don't expect the rumors 100% accurate although i would expect it to be around that piont.

also amd have come out and said new 9000 series will begin to roll out during quarter 3 of this year (maazster, don't know where the hell you got 2014 from)

as far as i know 8xxx series will be skipped for desktops and the 9xxx will release in october alongside battlefield 4. which makes sence because it will be part of the new never settle bundle.

yea, the Radeon VI series (20nm) will be a more powerful card that the 7000 series (28nm) for sure

so if you "Love" the 7000 series, you will "Super Love" the series VI

but in my case, i really don't have any hurry

the 7000 series are already the best card in the world to me lol (only good news can come from the series VI)

i am a big fan of AMD so not much to say  ^_^

So You don't believe in the GTX titan ? The 9970 is a flagship to beat out the titan or 780 if the hardware specs are 100% it will beat both easily.

4000 steam processors seems too high but i do have the feeling that nvidia are get their shit kicked in soon but i have no idea what i was thinking as that is very possible. Nvidia didnt upgrade enough and i hope they soon learn the price of what they have done.

i really have no idea how powerful will be, but as far as I know...

VI series was made "not to compete" the 700 series (not even a Titan or 780)

instead, the target was compete with the "800 series"

so... who knows...

No one know how good or bad the next gen will be. All we know is they will be coming out later this year. Also just food for thought, but they could release the x870.x850 series cards first, like they have done in the past.

Either way i think its safe to assume they will be faster than the 7970 so competing with the ludicrously priced titan should be doable.

what do you think 2 7970s are ? that's not high 6000 would be

indeed. If those rumours are true we will basically have a single gpu 7990 with no frame rating issues or such a reliance on driver updates. I for one would be tempted.

O_O if the new cards are designed to battle the 800 series the Titan is about to get destroyed...

Console optimisations and how they will effect you | The difference between AMD cores and Intel cores | Memory Bus size and how it effects your VRAM usage |
How much vram do you actually need? | APUs and the future of processing | Projects: SO - here

Intel i7 5820l @ with Corsair H110 | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 1600Mhz | XFX Radeon R9 290 @ 1.2Ghz | Corsair 600Q | Corsair TX650 | Probably too much corsair but meh should have had a Corsair SSD and RAM | 1.3TB HDD Space | Sennheiser HD598 | Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro | Blue Snowball

Ive always heard that radeon cards were stronger cards hardware wise, but just didnt preform as well as Nvidia cards when actually used.  Ive only ever owned 1 radeon card a couple years ago, and even though I never had a problem with it, Ive read a few times that there drivers suck and they constantly have problems in games and usually run at lower fps then Nvidia cards, even though the hardware of a radeon is "better".

At least thats what Ive always read, so I kind of just stayed to Nvidia cards ... How much of that is actually true though?

Hopefully with all the partnerships made with developers will allow AMD cards to get the most out of the hardware :D

well lets just say that if you do the right things with radeon gpus you can have much higher performing gpus than the nVidia counterparts (note, no amd counterpart for the 780). also with respect to drivers ... i think they hired some new people or somthing because since never settle came around there drivers have been very good

(1) high frame rate (2) ultra graphics settings (3) cheap...>> choose only two<<...

if it's never been done then i'm probably tryna do it. (((((((Bass so low it HERTZ)))))))
