Razer hate

Samdb

Their controllers are utter crap as far as build quality goes, especially the onza. After half an hour the right trigger already started acting odly, not activating every press. Sure their customer support is brilliant, but after 3 replacements it gets tiring.

My friend had an Onza, it was so much better than the original Xbox controller.

But how many Deathadders have they sold?

How do you expect him to know?  I'd gotten a Razer Copperhead back when it wasn't so cool to buy Razer, it was a decent enough mouse, but the rubberized surface turned grimy and sticky on me after about 1-2 years, I hated that I'd paid a good sum (then) for the CH, the mouse itself was good.....but damn, more thought should have been put into the material used. Hence, my dislike for Razer, overhyped and overpriced especially their higher end peripherals. Peeps raved about the Mako then, and it's a pretty good set of speakers, but way overpriced.....cost as much as a Logitech Z-5500 then. I auditioned it, before deciding on the Z-5500 as I wanted a set of speakers that doesn't crack if the bass is too strong. Even the shop salepeeps advised me against getting it as they say it cannot handle lower bass extension well.....and I agreed after auditioning a set. Hell, my Klipsch PM2.1 handle bass better than that, oh yeah, bought a Klipsch PM2.1 as well then because I'd wanted a secondary set of speakers for a 2nd rig. BTW, I'd gotten a Logitech G9 v1 from way back, at least 5 years or more, and it's still a great gaming mouse, I'm using it on my 2nd rig right now.

Logitech's been around longer, and I'm willing to pony up good money for their product, but Razer? Hell no! I'd rather buy a generic no name mouse/KB/speakers than to even consider Razer. As I'd said, overhyped and overpriced, basically all fart and no shit as my bros would say.

And I had a friend who went through two of them in a month. They are way too inconsistent.

You're basing your argument from one factor that happened quite a long time ago. Razer now defines the CH as a legacy product, which means they have improved over the amount of time between when  they stopped selling the CH and today's products.

So, aren't you basing your opinion of Razer on your experience as well? Why am I different? What makes you so special?

Was this the original Onza? If so there were bound to be teething problems, as there is with all companies.

I'm basing my views on mine, and my friends, who have had no problems with their products.

They're ok, but very cheap feeling for the price, and they are so random in the quality you get. If they were more consistent, there would be far fewer complaints.

We only hate them sometimes! Besides, Razer made one of the best mice ever, the DeathAdder.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

My deathadder 2013 and my v2 before that are both brilliant mice, it's just that if I try hard to, I could probably crush it with 1 hand. Not necessarily a great testimony to its quality.

They're generally pretty good products.

I have tried the mice Razer offers, I personally don't like them. My friend says they're the best yet he has only tried Razer mice and dell mice them come with a $600 computer. Also not a big fan of the color scheme.

Uh, that's called 'selling a product that isn't market ready'. I've known others who've had problems with mouse buttons breaking, the rubber coating peeling of the mouse after a year, headsets just generally being poorly built, keyboards cheaply made, etc. Their products are form>function. The only examples of periferals I've seen contradict this are the Ouroboros mouse, and that's one of their most recent products.

I wouldn't really call it the apple affect, because apple is just a bad company, check out raze the worlds video about it. ever since Steve jobs died it's been going downhill, although i think some people don't like razer because of some products malfunctions, i  had a lycosa and it died on me within 2 days i sent it back never got a new one, i contacted them for about a month and just got my refund 2 weeks after it broke. Personally this was the only time razer wronged me and i still love their company.

Apple have an amazing build quality.

My friends' boss had to throw his Macbook down the stairs about 50 times to break it.

He wanted an upgrade by claiming on the warranty.
