<3 one of my favourite bikes ever

Although I think I want a speed triple next

I'm going to get some many wtf looks from people - in fact I did while I was riding it (prob cause of the bug eyes) but this thing is incredible. The bug eyes grow on you after a while too.

My mom when I showed her a pic:

It looks like a dirt bike

Non-riders don't get it I guess... Most people that are riders probably won't either

That bike has no true character imo. Look up an Indian Scout or some of Victory's motorcycles

See what I posted above. I love a well done bobber as much as I do sports bikes. There are several Harley Iron 883 projects that I adore

Ok you got me those are super sexy

First pic is the Victory 8ball

The next is an Indian Scout

The Honda is prob a nice bike don't get me wrong, but it just looks... cookie cutter and generic. When I have enough money/space I'm adding a Scout to my stable alongside whatever sports bike I have.

I'm sure he got you off the line for a bit but those bikes lack top end. They're all about torque.

The scout seems very expensive but if I had the money I'd buy one for sure

Soooo... besides some surface rust...

I've already pulled out the battery so I can take it to a batteries plus place while I am in town to see about getting another one.

attachicon.gifimage.jpeg

The relay switch is busted. Looks like the tiny button is stuck / was pushed in and just broke the whole thing. We started it when I bought the bike. I have no idea how he did it though with a broken switch.

attachicon.gifimage3.jpeg

Pulled out the headlight, where the connectors hide.

attachicon.gifimage2.jpeg

And some cosmetic issues.

The previous owner sat a milk gallon on the gas tank and drove home.

Then he had custom seats made for the bike.. was taking saddlebags on or off, and nicked it with his knife. Two days after he had the seats made.

Is that an XS650??? My dad recently sold his.

I have a couple bikes.

My primary is a 2004 Suzuki SV-650. This is a pic from a few years ago, it no longer has the tank bra, and has a GSX-R front end on it.

SAM_0183.jpg

KTM 525 SUMO for gigles:

SAM_0209.jpg

And a Suzuki DR-200 for bombing around trails and in the woods, Sorry I dont have a pic in my photobucket though.

For the next bike I would like to go full track dedication on the SV and but a Speed Triple R for street use. All in due time.

Good taste my friend!

The KTM used to belong to a friend of mine, but he ran into some car trouble and needed some quick cash and he threw out a price that I couldn't walk away from.

I have regular street tires for summer and a set of knobbies that I studded for ice racing. It's easily the most fun impulse buy I have ever made.

I have been looking at the hypermotard too, looks mental!

it would have to be a second bike though, for special hooligan occasions :P

I test rode a standard striple yesterday. That was a left over 13' and I put some miles on it around the dealer's area. I'm sold on these bikes now. It felt happy around 4K RPMs in 4th gear at 35-40MPH. Boy did the bike have some pull anywhere outside of that. This will definitely be my next street bike. Everything that everyone has said about this bike is spot on. Brakes feel awesome due to stainless lines and other components, power is everywhere I prefer it for street riding, and good lawd almighty the torque...

They're really common in the UK, one of the best naked bikes you can get.
