Favorite Cherry MX Switch

Browns. I originally wanted blues but there was not any blue keyboards with dedicated media controls and volume wheel when I was shopping for mechanical keyboard. So I ended up having the G710+.

MEMBRANE MASTER RACE!

I hate mechanical keyboard. My membrane keyboard is great.

My headset doesn't plug into an audiojack; it's wireless.

My mouse is wireless.

I don't use the keyboard and mouse for gaming; I use a wireless controller.

My 3770K is clocked to 4.2GHz... with a stock fan.

I dislike both, but I dislike Origin a bit less than Steam. Overall, I wish I can just run games without those 2 stupid clients. Also, I think Valve is very overrated and the extreme hate and worship towards EA and Valve respectively by the gaming community is stupid.

Browns for now but i believe that clears would be nice aswell.

Next board i'm probably gonna get blues because i'm sure i'd like them aswell

Don't think i would like red or black because it doesn't have the tactile bump which after typing on membrane

switches for years is hard to get used to.

For those who like Brown but feel it to be too light, Clear with its stiffer spring and more pronounce bump would be ideal. I've tried Clear and prefer over Blue and Brown, though I still like my clicky Green. Another one that should be insluded is White.....I;ve just gotten a DS3 with Cherry MX White and it's just great. It has a subtle/soft click compared to Blue and Green, heavier/stiffer than Blue. Jokrik and I have tried White and it's just sex for the fingers...

MX Green will be my choice. I just love the clickiness of it.

I don't own one yet but I keep reading all the info I can about mechanical keyboards and Cherry MX switches but I don't know which one I should get. I know everyone is different. :-/

I'm thinking either Browns or Blues.

Pick which one feels the best to you they can all preform the same tasks equally. I often equate picking a MX switch to picking a couch/recliner or mattress. Its personal preference, which is how I pick mice too, shape over performance.

Only problem is that no stores have all the MX switches. I've only actually touched Blues and Reds. Haven't found browns in person.

There's a switch tester that will allow you to test each switch, so you can make an accurate decision.

Blue!

Yeah me too, typing and for gaming, and I don't think they're loud. But it's personal preference, it may sound like a jackhammer to other people, but for me, it's music.

Yeah... I saw that already. I'd rather not pay $$ for that.

I didn't see one. I have two Best Buy's by me. I will have to check both of them soon.

Ducky or K70.. Hmm I like media buttons on the K70.
