Gigabyte Aivia Uranium Wireless Gaming Mouse

NCIX: http://bit.ly/1goI3pl

The Aivia Uranium wireless gaming mouse from Gigabyte has some seriously solid ideas and awesome technology in it, but needs a little bit more refinement before it finds its way to my mouse pad. With that said, getting around some of my issues with the product is as simple as going to the Gigabyte website and using their guide to determine if this product is right for you!

(sorry guys the video isn't actually ready to watch at the time I'm posting this. YouTube processing will probably be a couple hours on this one)

I'm actually really interested in this. I just wrote a review on my Aivia Osmium (Spoilers, I love it) and I'd like to know is Gigabyte can keep it up.

I would personally love it that the link to the forum would be linked to this thread. I am lazy! And for new people, they might have a slightly harder time to find this thread. If they come here for the first time, the video section is pretty obvious. But I am sure some people will just not find it, while they may have something important to ask and youtube won't answer that.

About the mouse, .. meh.

All I care for is; good optical sensor, palm/claw hybrid grip mode (most mouses offer this!), not to many buttons. 2/3 max (i hardly ever use them anyway). I will never use a button that is on the right side of the mouse, this is because I use my pinky to aim.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Looks kinda ugly and bulky, the build quality looks pretty cheap and it uses micro USB which sucks. Also I have no idea for a practical use of that display. Sure, the charging is practical but you could to that with a normal USB cable so it's barely an advantage. Maybe there is more to it on a second glance but from what I've seen I'd consider this to be an overpriced gimmick with more crap on my desk so I'd go for a normal mouse instead of this anytime. Maybe if it had very long range, a very stable signal which can deal with barriers very well it would be worth considering, cause most wireless mice I tried are pretty bad in that aspect.

I just had to change the batteries in my g602 after about 50 days of being continually on endurance mode! I laugh at your pitiful 50 hours! Haha, hahahaha, AHAHAHAHAHAAHAH *COUGH COUGH*...

Anyway...

I prefer more buttons, though a nice side scroll is something I miss on the g602. It seems like they're focusing a bit too much on the little hub/screen thing when an on screen display would have sufficed. Not enough mouse for the cost I think.

I'd recommend a Corsair Raptor M45 or Vengeance M65. Those are proven to be good. I wouldn't put my faith into a mouse where the marketed strongpoint is a gimicky screen.
