Ultra wide or no?

Hey guys,

Having a rough time making a decision. 

Looking for personal opinions on what you prefer and why?

I personally am looking at the 

• LG UltraGear 34GN850 34
• Samsung Odyssey G7 32

I was 100% gonna get an ultrawide until i saw how much more larger a 16:9 seemed in person for approximately the same size and the price comparison.

i.e I live in Australia and the ultrawide listed above is $1600 & the Samsung $1150.

If you do any screen sharing (e.g. for work) or streaming (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) don't get an ultrawide unless you have an additional 16x9 display. There is no good way to cast a different resolution on an ultrawide, so no one's going to be able to see what's on your screen.

Not a fan of them at all, call me old fashion but a simple flat 16:9 is the best over all screen for mix usage by far. UW give you extra performance in area like game or multi windows productivity but it comes at the cost of ergonomic and taking extra graphical power. I would get a flat 16:9 that has a great resolutiion, colour performance, and response time over 21:9 and/or curve anyday.

personal taste no uw, the LG's my pick if you don't need 240hz.

It comes down to personal preference.  If you can spend some time looking at the two side by side, such as in an electronics store, go for the one that feels right for your needs.
