Black Screen in OBS

Display-Capture.thumb.jpg.2cea7ea133171de4a86a652713bb66ac.jpg

Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 5 Quad Core - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/Windows 10 Home/4 GB Graphics/NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650) AN515-43-R3JU Gaming Laptop  (15.6 inch, Obsidian Black, 2.3 kg)

I tried recording and it always shows black screen. I have GeForce Experience to Record games impeccable to say the least but when I want to record just the screen it shows black screen and in output too.

I tried default setting and also watched a video from Nvidia to set it up. but still no luck.

Instead of Display Capture, try Game Capture and add the game itself. Or you need to set the game up in (borderless) windowed mode.

The way games in fullscreen work is that they send the video stream quite directly to the screen and thus a program like OBS can't see anything (when using display capture).

Didn't help but now atleast I can see the preview of the screen but still Black output file.

Try another format to save in. MP4 is generally not recommended.
