Has anyone tried to OC an LG-27GL850?

Go to solution Solved by SpookyCitrus,

I personally wouldn't risk it. You wouldn't see any sort of difference between 165hz and 144hz anyway so I don't think it's worth possibly ruining the monitor and voiding the warranty to get that small of an OC if anything at all, the risk outweighs the reward in this situation.

Hey guys I recently got the LG 27GL8502 I love it but I recently discovered monitors can be overclocked! I was wondering if anyone has tried overclocking this monitor and if it’s safe. I’ve done some research and usually monitor overclocking seems safe but I came across a Reddit that said if you overclock this monitor a permanent “OUT OF RANGE” message pops up and if you lower it back to 144hz it’s still there. I love this monitor and I wouldn’t want that to happen. Thank you in advance for any input you guys have.
