Second Build: Yin Yang Prodigy Update 3/16

CJPowell27

Hey guys I finally decided to post my build that I've been working on for a while (kinda)! The build still isn't done but I will be posting the progress.

The specs are in my sig too but they are:

Asrock H81M-ITX.

Intel i5 4670K

Corsair H100

8 Gb Patriot Viper 1600 MHz

EVGA NEX650G

MSI GTX 670 PE

Random 500 GB laptop HDD

Bitfenix Prodigy

I know it isn't a z87 board and I hate that I have it.  I will be going for the MSI Z87I AC when I have the money :P.  I don't need to overclock yet anyways.

The Matrix 7970 is up for sale because it doesn't fit.  I am trying to find someone that will trade it for a  GTX 770

I will get an SSD later on, but i have to wait until I get a new motherboard due to the fact that mine only has two SATA ports :(

For peripherals, I have a Razer Black Widow Stealth, I can't type on anything else besides this now lol. I have some random A7 mouse or something like that

Future Plans: -New motherboard

                            - Spray paint HDD cage

                            - Cover cables with white acrylic

                            - sleeved PCI-E extension

                            - Sleeved CPU cable

-Paint the silver on the outside of the case white

                            - Corsair AF120 white LEds to replace other fans

-Paint Rad white (not the fins)

Looks great! Just sell your 7970 on eBay they sell for around $370 or so. Then pick up like a EVGA B-Stock GTX 770 for $280.

Did you custom sleeve the white power cable yourself?

I don't trust myself to sleeve :P

I probably will do that, I was planning on buying EVGA B-stock

correct,  the white acrylic covering the connection will make it look like a personally sleeved

wow, looking nice. Cable sleeving is nice.  With mining prices through the roof, you should be able to sell that 7970 pretty quickly.

WONDERFUL cable management. just amazing!

How did you wire up all of the fans? Fan splitters? Fan controller?

Aesthetics of rigs matter

All the fans are plugged into the H100 and the rear exhaust is plugged into the motherboard :)

The front trim is painted! I still need to figure out how to paint the bitfenix logo. Some white paint is visible in this pic, but not in person. I will probably cover that with some trusty electrical tape. The HDD bay is drying as I type this :)

Nice build. Personally I'd rather those pci-e connectors be black with the red cabling and white painted shroud.
