PSU/Motherboard?CPU are they compatible?

Spainz

So I have these three things:

PSU: ROG THOR 850P

https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards-Accessories/ROG-THOR-850P/overview/

CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/processors/core/i9-processors/i9-9900k.html

MOTHERBOARD: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE AC ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z390-GAMING-EDGE-AC/Specification

My Question is are they compatible in terms of their ports for power? Like, the PCIE slots are really confusing me. And what concerns me is that when you scroll all the way down to the “Power Supply Calculator” https://www.asus.com/microsite/power_supply_calculator/

it doesn’t list the i9-9900k 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor series at all. Does that it’s self mean it’s not compatible? Additionally, the PCIE ports are all odd.

For the Motherboard, it has 3 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (support x16/x0/x4, x8/x8/x4 modes)… 3 x PCIe 3.0 x1 slots… 2 x M.2 slot (Key M) with Support up to PCIe 3.0 x4…

1 x 24-pin ATX main power connector

1 x 8-pin ATX 12V power connector

1 x 4-pin ATX 12V power connector

6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors

1 x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port

2 x USB 3.1 Gen1 connectors (supports additional 4 USB 3.1 Gen1 ports)

2 x USB 2.0 connectors (supports additional 4 USB 2.0 ports)

1 x 4-pin CPU fan connector

1 x 4-pin Water Pump connector

5 x 4-pin system fan connectors

1 x Serial port connector

1 x Front panel audio connector

2 x System panel connectors

1 x Thunderbolt Add-on Card Connector

1 x Chassis Intrusion connector

1 x TPM module connector

2 x 4-pin RGB LED connectors

1 x 3-pin RAINBOW LED connector

1 x 3-pin CORSAIR LED connector

For the PSU, it has ATX12V…

MB 24/20-pin x 1

CPU 8/4-pin x 2

PCI-E 8/6-pin x 4

SATA x 12

Peripheral 4-pin x 5

Floppy x 1

and comes with …

Power Cord x 1

Motherboard Power Cable (24-pin) x 1 (610mm)

CPU Cable (4+4-pin) x 2 (650mm)

PCI-E Cable (6+2-pin) x 3 (675mm)

SATA Cable x 3 (760mm/570mm)

Peripheral x 2 (690mm/470mm)

SATA to Peripheral Cable x 1 (300mm)

Floppy Cable x 1 (101mm)

Addressable RGB Cables x 2 (950mm)

Sleeved Cable Combs (6-pin) x 2

Sleeved Cable Combs (8-pin) x 6

power supply calculators are known to overestimate by quite a lot

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

ARE THESE COMPATIBLE?

1. Don't bother with such calculators.

2. The parts are compatible

3. "Additionally, the PCIE ports are all odd." .. What?

4. What is confusing about the PCIE slots? What is your full system build?
