How to use 2 pc with 1 mouse for free?

Hello. I want to use 1 mouse for 2 pc. But I can see Synergy is paid software,  is there any software that is free? Thank you

If they are both Windows you should use "Mouse without Borders"

 

Only use Synergy if they are of different operating systems

Mouse without Borders is also something I'd recommend.  It's a Microsoft product.

Don't be.  I didn't learn about it until I was in OP's shoes and started searching.  And even then it wasn't one of the first things I found.

I've used Input Director for the same thing. :)

Problem is I used to follow their developments for the longest time, until recently that is, lol. I do a lot of the insider stuff (as well as @GoodBytes) and I would keep an eye on the Garage since I was a huge Windows Mobile user (still am so please don't judge me, I dislike my android) but any how I missed this one. The only things I don't like about Mouse without Borders is that it can disrupt a gaming session and that it will occasionally poll the mouse which causes the pointer and on-screen controls to show when watching full screened movies.

You can try Input Director, hit has more fine tune controls. But it doesn't have easy copy/paste of files between systems. (you basically need to network share locations, like desktop, on both systems, and you can copy/paste files on that location only).

I'm not at all in need of the copy/paste so I think I'll give this a go.  Thank you.
