RGB Issues

Bob Eccles

Hi Guys

Just bought a

MSI MAG FORGE 100R Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case

and my motherboard is a

asus tuf b450-plus gaming

I have got an issue I didnt think about before buying them.

The Motherboard has a 4 Pinm 12v RGB header, but the cases RGB controler has a 3 pin RGB cable.

Is there anyway I can get this working without having to buy a new board/case?

Any adapters that can convert them.

Rob.

So by RGB "controller" do you just mean the connection for the included RGB strips in the case? Or does it actually come with some sort of hub/controller? Because most RGB controllers connect via USB so they can be controlled via software.

if its for a led strip nope, the 3 connectors is for addressable led strip (apa102b, ws2812b, etc) and run of 5v, (GND, DATA, +5V), where as 4 pin rgb cables (such as 5050 SMD LED strips) run off 12v. (+12V, GREEN, BLUE, RED (Analogue))
