No it wouldn't ruin your PC, the PSU would shut off if it's being overloaded, just make sure to get a quality one.

Though your PC wouldn't even get past 200W, you really don't need to worry about it, the wattage calculators are highly inaccurate.

Hello, i was thinking of building a gaming pc but I wanted to choose a PSU. Thhis was very confusing or me asI did not know how much Watt should I get, ten I sae the PSU calculator I tested everything I had and I got a 269W of total Watt and the recommended was 319W, now on amazon I can choose for a 450W PSU or a 500W. I really want to know if I can have a 450W PSU, will it affect my mobo or my processor or my graphics card. Please someone answer me fast. The screen shot is given below.

The system with a ryzen 1600 + GTX 1050ti won't consume much power. Probably less than 200w at most.

Good power supplies typically start at at least 450w, so look for one of those.

The EVGA N1 400w that the calculator recommends is actually one of the worst "brand name" PSUs you can buy these days. Do not buy it.

Those calculators are pretty rubbish anyway, I wouldn't recommend them.

As mentioned above something like the corsair cx450 would be much much better.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450
