RAM capped at 1600mhz.

I recently bought a Ballistix Sport LT 8gb, and it says its 3000mhz, first it was at 2400mhz but i changed it in the msi bios settings to 3000mhz, but then when i checked in CPUZ it says its capped at 1600mhz. How do i change it to 3000mhz. Even in task manager it shows 1600mhz. (Its single channel)

CPUZ shows the real clock, and since DDR means Double Data Rate, 1600 * 2 = 3200mhz.

 

Don't know how that's possible since you've set it to 3000mhz.
