Strange artifacts on monitor ?

I noticed a lot of strange artifacts in the darker gradients on the monitor. It's like wave or circular shapes that seems like to split the gradients. It's hard to explain but any idea what this may be caused by? At first I thought it was my driver's but I think it may be the monitor ?

specs:

MSI Optix 27" WQHD 144Hz

Gigabyte rtx 2070 super oc

cable: displayport (stock cable that came with monitor)

attempted fixes that didn't work:

1: https://www.google.com/amp/s/windowsreport.com/nvidia-color-banding-fix/%3Famp

2: fiddle Ng with nvidea control panel color setting (made it worse so reverted back to normal)

3: removed NVIDEA drivers - Still banding

4: reinstalled NVIDEA drivers then override stock settings - still banding (kinda feels that its slightly worse)

5: installed the drivers for my monitor with the updates ones from MSI - No change

6: Changed display port - port. No change

(I really do not find anything more useful on google either, so would be a big help if someone knew anything that could fix this because i really do not believe a brand new MSI Optix MPG27CQ and RTX 2070 Super is supposed to be banding this much, right now youtube and netfflix is even unwatcheable it really ruines the experience and gaming is difficult because all dark areas are pitch black and really cannot see the way im supposed to.)

Thats normal. It because it can display the colors in between. Its a software thing happens a lot in youtube video's for me.
Its called banding. Google it.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

I googled it. It most certainly fits the bill ... It's so annoying its present on YouTube netflix and in most games... Any efficient solution to this ?

Only thing i can think of is turning down brightness and stuff so its to dark to notice. And yes i got the problem too.
I do want to go for an HDR monitor some time, but im not sure if that will be a solution since its in the source afaik.

Ok I think that is not normal however...

What sort of displays have this?  None of mine have this. No offense,  just curious!

PS: wait you say software,  so it's not a display thing... ?

tones were being displayed incorrectly regardless of the monitor settings or graphics settings, so users concluded that the only possible explanation would be an issue with the Windows 10 May 2019 Update.

This claim is further backed by the fact that some users found that a clean reinstall of the OS, but only up to the 1809 update, solved the issue.

I guess that explains it as I'm on 1809...

I still don't think this is "normal"!

What the hell, there are so many issues with 1903/09 how did MS not pull this yet from public?

Looks like it....

Yes, sure, has already been posted though.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/windowsreport.com/nvidia-color-banding-fix/%3Famp

I would probably read this very carefully and try do apply the fixes they suggest - as it appears to be fixable actually,  it just seems like a lot of trouble to go through,  still worth it probably :o

So I tested the stuff that was in the link. But no use. This even happens in games (even in csgo) at it's super annoying
