I'd prefer to have the fan RGB visible, but if I can get more performance by not having it so, then it's ok.

well blowing air towards the front panel, "out of the case" would not work at all. You'd see that in 10 minutes. The air would get recycled by the aio fans because it would have nowhere to go.
If you really want to see the RGB, install them in "pull" config.

Your best bet is installing the rad in the front of the case, the fans pulling air throught it, into the case. If gpu temps get too high, I'd try slowing down the aio fans or speeding up the exhaust fans.

I have just ordered a corsair h115i platinum to upgrade my cooling from the stock AMD cooler that came with my Ryzen 5 2600.

My case (NZXT H500) already creates great negative pressure so I was wondering if I should keep it like that or make the AIO pull in fresh air from the front?

I'd prefer to have the fan RGB visible, but if I can get more performance by not having it so, then it's ok.

Wait so you bought the h115i cooler, instead of new ryxen processor. Man like wtf. Your ryzen 5 2600 is fine with hyper 212 evo.

But Yeah, where do you have your case fans? use the bottom and the rear for exhaust, and the top and front for getting air in.

Hello,

You can place only the AIO at the front since you can only place 120mm rad at the rear and none on top.

1. The cooler was on sale and cheaper than most other coolers, and NOT bough by me, sorry if I made it seem like I bought it

2. I have case fans in their original position at the moment, when I tried changing their positions to create a more balanced airflow it just made CPU temps skyrocket and teammates started complaining about it.

Sorry if I made my question unclear.

What I meant to ask is if I should orient the fans on the 280mm AIO to pull fresh air into the case or push air out of it. As my case already does a good job pushing air out of my case.

Oh my bad, then since the H500 is a weird case, lot's of people tend to intake from top and sometimes rear so you could exhaust at the front indeed.
