Ryzen build for work.

So, upgrading my current build as i need to run VM's and things like GNS3 and EVE-NG

 

Current

i5-4690K

8GB RAM

some super low end motherboard.

GTX 1060 6GB

Samsung 850 EVo

3 x Hard Drives.

650 WATT Corsair PSU (im sure its 650, i cant see it in my case atm)

My budget was around £600, this come in at £557 so still have a little money to play with. I can get 2x 128GB m.2 drives. Motherboard

spec says it can support 2 so is this worth it and running them in RAID 0? or just a single 256GB? Or should i get better RAM or motherboard?

I would just get a single 256GB M.2 drive, since the speed benefits offered by Raid 0 don't have as much of a noticeable impact when used with SSDs that are already very fast. The RAM looks good, but are you sure you need 32GB? You'd be able to reduce costs a bit if you decide to go with 16GB instead.

Yea ill get the 1 M.2. The RAM is for running various VM's and EVE-NG / GNS3 both are network simulators that eat up RAM for when im studying.

I'd go with this ram instead, similar to yours in price and model, but 3600 speed which is more ideal assuming you aren't buying Samsung B-Die modules and tweaking the timings manually.

I get what your saying but i wanted to save 2 slots for another 32GB kit if needed
