Account Info Update Issues.

I've tried multiple times to update my profile and nothing seems to change.

It's becoming increasingly frustrating to repeatedly press 'Save' only to see that nothing has changed.

 

Granted I haven't really been around since 2015, but, like WTF.

 

 

PS: what Kanye West style 'Genius' thought it was a good idea to set a 180-day limit on name changes?

Are you saying its too often or not often enough? Consider that before that, you couldn't change name without requesting it from admin. Other thing to consider is that forum owners don't like when users change their nicknames on forum.

The name change limit is to prevent someone from changing their name briefly to, for example, troll someone, then changing it back. Having a 180 day limit forces you to think about whether you really want to have that name for 6 months.

If you try just changing one of them, does it work? Are you able to narrow it down to a particular field that won't save?

Have they all saved successfully when changing them one-by-one? I would expect one of them to fail to save, which was causing nothing to save when you were doing them all at once.

Ah, yes. You can provide day+month or day+month+year; all other combinations are not allowed. I agree that that's not great, and I agree that it's ridiculous that it just silently fails to save everything. The behaviour of only allowing some combinations is likely a "feature" so probably can't be changed, but I will report the failing silently issue as a bug to the forum software devs.
