Thanks : )

Ye I second guessed myself on the SSD's aswell . I couldn't be bothered having a Partitioned SSD, also wanted to fill up the other M.2 slot. I'll buy a 2 TB for the next SSD (For Older games and Audio production stuff) and then she'll be sweet.

What are you looking to build ?

Yeah I wouldn't bother with partitioning either ? I love how cheap SSDs have gotten, but at the same time makes what I paid for them a couple years ago...salty.

I have a slightly different approach when it comes to building rigs, I try to go for extreme value by buying used, and sometimes buying an entire rig for one piece, then parting out the rest. My current build, all in (including monitor etc) was only $350. It'll likely be a 3600x, X470 motherboard, 1TB SSD, 32GB of RAM, and a GTX 1080Ti. The only new thing being the processor, as I don't imagine I'll be able to find one used for a good price.

That's a cool and efficient way to go about it though.

I don't even want to mention how much my current build cost, it's crazy.

But i figure it will be a new build every 8 years or there abouts ... not that bad for an 8 year period I guess.

You mentioned that your waiting for the new cod? from an online perspective or for the storyline aspect ?

Yeah, I honestly find the hunt more exciting than buying parts from a store. Interestingly I should be able to make this build profit me instead of cost me money.

Fingers crossed, at least. All depends on what I end up finding during the hunt.

I get a new build every 2 or 3 years. Mostly because I want to sell the hardware before it loses too much of it's value.

Online for sure. Back in the day I would play all of the CoD games for hours a day with friends. I haven't played one like that since Black Ops 2 (they've all been shit), but this one really looks like it takes it back to the basics. And the weapon customization looks insane! The campaign is supposed to be extremely controversial, with some people that played it saying they were unable to finish it because it was too graphic. Perfect. Hopefully they don't cave to the PC Police.

It's a good excuse to finally try out a 144hz display. Still rather torn on what format to go with though.

Ye, I don't play much online games any more. I'm in uni atm but when I had more free time I streamed my games. When you say format do you mean Gsync or Freesync ?

I get what you mean about getting back to the basics. running up walls and that sort of thing did my nut in .

Yeah, me either. I literally play maybe one or two games a few times a week. Mostly Hearthstone to make sure my quests don't fill up ? I think I'll get back into gaming with CoD though, since most of my friends are getting it.

I think I'm set on GSync, but it's more what size monitor and how many. Ideally I think I'd like a 35" ultrawide, but I'm also contemplating 2 27" 1440p, 2 24" 1080p, or a 32" 1440p display. I'd want at least a VA panel, so it restricts the 1080p monitors quite a bit.
