How to package gpu

So I'm going to buy a gpu but the seller does not have a box, so I decided to use my old GPU box with padding but there's no antistatic bag is that ok?

Wrap the gpu in some other soft material that doesn't conduct electricity

Buy and anti-static bag from a local store, they're cheap.  I wouldn't ship without on, but that's me.

If you're just going to pick up the GPU, yes, that's fine. If there's shipping involved somehow, although I can't see how there would be if you're providing the box, invest in an anti-static bag and extra padding, then ship the GPU box inside of another heavily padded box.

I am just picking it up from a place, not being shipped. So I don't need an antistatic bag?

I don't think so, no. Just make sure the PCB is facing up and doesn't have anything pressing down on it.

So its the side where the fan shows right?

The PCB is the card itself. The fan is on the cooler. The cooler should be face down.

Hell, you can throw it on your passenger seat bare ass and it'll be fine.  Thought you were talking shipping, then you need the bag.

I'm gonna be busing, I have my original GPU box with padding. It doesn't matter which way I face it right?

Like I said, nothing you do to transport that card is going to hurt it.  Throw it in a backpack if you want.
