Project - Bloody Lightning

OddlyShapedTree

Hello everyone, I have been on this forum for a while and I have finally gotten around to doing a custom loop and decided to make a build log and share with everyone.

Ideas & plans

  • Black and Red everything if I can help it
  • Silence If I can help it

Main Specs

  • i5-3570k
  • MSI 780 Lightning
  • MSI z77 Big Bang MPower
  • 2x4gb Corsair Vengance RAM
  • Corsair RM850w - Custom Sleeving done by me
  • 750D
  • 256 gb SSD#
  • 2 x 1TB HDD

Cooling Specs None of these are ordered yet and are subject to change so please if you think you have a helpful idea let me know!

Nothing Is final until the end really so if anyone has any input or suggestions please let me know!

I have two ideas in mind on how I am going to place everything. I will be ordering the case soon and before I have all the other stuff so I will take measurments then and have a more clear idea on what I have to work with.

Idea 1

post-30437-0-90176600-1390799361.jpg

Idea 2
post-30437-0-79218400-1390799394.jpg

I kind of like the first one better but like I said I will make a decision once I am able to see the case in person. Any sort of ideas would be very appreciated thank you.

The Yellow won't be a problem, with the red LED strips I have they don't look yellow at all. worst case scenario I make them red or black.

Idea 2 is better but I would get a 360mm 45mm thick in the top and a 240 in the front. In the front you can get any size thickness.

I am only cooling two things I'll see how it performs and maybe change it out in the future.

Thanks for all the input guys. All the stuff for me to start sleeving the cables for the power supply should be coming in this week.

I'm thinking about getting a 750D for myself, want to use 360 rad on top and 240 in front + big XSPC D5 Photon rez/pump.

You could fit it. I just want to take more precise measurements before buying and ordering anything.

Update time:

I know I haven't really been good with this, but the sleeving has started and once that's done i am ordering the case then taking measurements and then ordering everything else.

I would remove the yellow from the motherboard and get white LEDs instead.  Red LEDs would make the build look cheap TBH they drown out the other elements of the build IMHO

i5 4670k| Asrock H81M-ITX| EVGA Nex 650g| WD Black 500Gb| H100 with SP120s| ASUS Matrix 7970 Platinum (just sold)| Patriot Venom 1600Mhz 8Gb| Bitfenix Prodigy. Build log in progress

I'll decide if i like the current LEDs I have in the new set up, and idk about white. As for the yellow parts, the red LEDs hide the fact that they are yellow unless you are really close to them.
