The Playstation Classic is currently $30 at WalMart Canada, got myself one, if there are none at your local WalMart, simply use the store pickup option!

Doesn't it run on the PCSX ReARMed emulator? Which is known for poor support of game emulation. You won't be able to play any other games that are not already included either. You basically paid $32.00 for 20 games that you can run on a potato PC from eBay for $20.00 - $25.00. Not to mention, all the rest of the original PlayStation games.

 

Did you by chance know any of this before buying this $32.00 paperweight?

It's a softmod to allow for better emulation and to add ROMs, since sharing ROMs isn't legal in almost every jurisdiction, I won't post links or instructions to any of this and will mention that I'm using this with ROMs that will be backed up from my PS1 collection.

Oh, awesome. So basically you bought it for a more convenient and portable way to play PlayStation games right? Because a PC does the same thing. So now owning one, it's much easier for you to say, bring it on a trip and use in a hotel or beach house than to bring your entire PC. All I can think of at the moment to own one anyway.

And to install it on the TV instead of using the PC, so that I can play with my daughter using the 40" TV instead of my 21" PC monitor!

 

It's also easy to bring on trips and only uses a cellphone charger as the power source! So you can technically use it in the car with those small "portable DVD player" that have an input (my brother and mom live 3h away and my sister almost 5h away, so we have a few car trips every year and that would keep my daughter occupied when she's bored!!)

That's worth the $32.00 alone right there. A whole other aspect that I failed to realize. Excellent pickup. I highly suggest Spyro to be in the library. I have fun with it in 2019. Probably because I never played it as a kid. Resident Evil Director's Cut is another game I highly recommend. It has aged surprisingly well and is still my favorite Resident Evil. There's more than one version of the game too, so be sure to grab them. The music is weird to hear from the version that I didn't play as a kid.
