Motherboard very hot?

I have an MSI z370i gaming pro carbon AC motherboard and when i check speccy, it says that my motherboard is very hot, like 109°C. ( I have also checked other monitor software and it shows the same thing)

And its not like it goes from lets say 40°C and slowly goes up to 109°C. Its from the second i turn it on, but when i check BIOS it says the temp is 40°C. 

The cpu and gpu temperatures are at a low 40°C, high 30°C when idle and around high 50°C, low 60°C when i play games like cs:go and euro truck sim 2.

Does anybody know what the problem might me? I have a suspicion that it might me a faulty temperature sensor but im not sure.

ok, put your finger on the vrm heatsink carefull can be really hot, if not really that hot then stress your cpu and check, you an have a bad sensor. My fx8150 sometimes reported -111c or 195c. 

 

Also helps what cpu do you have? is it oc or not? 

 

Even so I dont think a i5 wil lget those vrms really hot even if they are a 4phase.

it can totally be the temp sensor that is defective. if you are not too scared about doing this, make sure your body is grounded and touch the board heatsinks to feels if they are that hot

to a human finger 60C is just as hot as 100C, both way too hot to touch.

depends on people i guess because i can totally feel the difference between 60 and 100 with my finger

it is an i5 8400 Xkillerp.

 

I tried programs like HWinfo64, CAM, corsair link 4 etc.

The heatsink feel quite normal. it does not burn my finger off.

ok so do you have an AIO? if so get a fan a case fan and point it to the vrm area and check if the temp will go down on the vrm sensor and ofc finger check if its hot. 100c+ those heatsincs will be burning. 

 

if all is ok and you dont get a finger burn then its a faulty sensor.

It's probably a bad sensor. If you want to test it for sure, open up your case and run like that for a while to get a baseline, then position a fan so it's blowing down onto your VRMs and see what it reads at. Next, do the same thing with your chipset. If your temp stays roughly the same, it's a bad sensor, which is something lots of motherboards come with and isn't a big deal. If your motherboard temp comes way down (I'm talking at least 20C lower), then you might have a thermal issue. The Z370i has some pretty beefy heatsinks and you're running a locked CPU, so I can't imagine that being an issue unless they're not anchored down properly?

okey, so i tried the one with the fan and nothing happend.still 109C.
