Is this how FreeSync works?

cRsFisA

Hello everyone, I just bought an  ACER Nitro VG220QBMIIX FreeSync monitor to use it with my RX 480.

Now.. I've activated FreeSync from the monitor menu and from the AMD Radeon Settings (+ Enhanced Sync). Does freesync work with HDMI now? because this monitor doesn't have a display port.. or is this everything that  I need to do in order to use freesync?

Freesync works perfectly fine over HDMI (always has), it was G Sync that required DP however I believe Nvidia have relaxed that restriction on some monitors now.

Yep, all you need to do is enable it in Adrenaline, the monitor should detect that and switch itself to Freesync mode automatically (at least that's how mine works).
