So I’ve been using my tv as a monitor for a while now. The issue I’ve been having is that when I try to set the resolution at 1920 by 1080, the quality looks terrible! I know for sure my tv supports 1080p though. Anything I can do about it? It’s kinda annoying being stuck at 1366 by 768!

That doesn't narrow things down, but I guess I'll just have to make due.

Some things to look at:

  • Verify the computer is actually sending a 1080p signal, rather than a 1080i one. Depending on where you set the resolution, it may not be obvious which one you're doing.
  • Verify the TV's scaling is doing 1:1 or similar, because TVs may crop the image and blow it up because it thinks overscan is still a thing.

There is no enemy. The foe on the battlefield is merely the manifestation of that which we must overcome. The doubt, and fear, and despair. Every battle is fought within. Conquer the battlefield that lies inside you, and the enemy disappears like the illusion it is.

Thanks for the tips guys. Sorry I couldn’t specify my tv but I honestly don’t entirely know what series it is. Thanks for the help though!
