Monitor suggestions for 1080p, 1440p, and 4k

ResidingSoul

I can't decide on what precisely to choose from aside from something with a high refresh rate, and I plan on getting an RTX 2080 or at least a 2070 sometime down the road.

Does G-Sync/FreeSync even still matter now as well?

If you want high refresh rate then 4k is obviously out of the picture.

Doesn't really matter though, this is a question if you'll go RTX 2060 on 1080p high refresh or RTX 2080 on 1440p high refresh when you figure out how much you wanna spend precisely then you go with it.

FreeSync will be present on any worthy to buy display nowadays so it's almost a feature you'll always have and being able to finally benefit from it on nVidia was a nice plus.

Just get a 1080p 144hz monitor, it'll be fine

you only need like an RTX 2060 for that though

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I really like my Samsung CHG70. It comes in 27 or 32 inches, has a VA panel, uses quantum Dot (whatever that is), gets really bright, is 144hz, has low input lag, and the Freesync works great with my GTX 1070ti.

In most AAA games I get around 90-120 fps with my 1070 ti which is similar to a 2060. If you want more than that I would go with an RTX 2070. Whenever I have Freesync on I can't honestly tell the difference between 90 FPS and 144 FPS.
