60-80$ Psu recommendation

nifty917

my system is i5 6600k + rx 580. probably upgrade to ryzen 7 3000 series when available.

which one is most worth it?

1.used evga 850GQ for 65$

2.bequeit pure power 11 500w for 76$

3.leadex silver 550w for 71$

4.evga 450gd for 53$

5.cougar gx s 550w for 72$

i planned to get the used 850GQ but i saw amazon reviews and it has lot negative review. some people fried their fans and fan hub because of that psu. also some people had popping caps etc

Out of all of them, I'd recommend the Pure Power 11

Yeah it's just being modular and non modular, so there's suppose to not have any difference what so ever.

What are you trying to power? the EA550G is actually worse if you use a GPU with high wattage spikes like the Vega56 and can trigger issues.

I'd go PP11 personally, it's quieter as well.

i showed your answer to my friend that recomended ea550g and he said this

"if you use vega56, I still don't recommend using pp11. pp11 topology is still active clamp reset forward, which is only a modification of the single forward topology. efficiency has increased dramatically, but the transient response is still weaker than resonant-HB LLC, especially the resonant LLC-FB
so the two will be messed up. seasonic focus due to aggressive protection settings, FSP raider because of design

but the problems in seasonic can be overcome by the manufacturer with a little tweaking.
on fsp? can't do it. must replace the new platform"
