Motherboard Tier List (EOL)

1 minute ago, TofuHaroto said:

you asked about stability, that depends on the software, like the bios (which is the software for the board essentially.).

the board will handle it just fine, though ryzen does not have a bug headroom for overdclocking, enable pbo and then focus on memory overclocking.

it's worse than the gaming plus.

also quick note.

this is the new list, so check it rather than this list.

my friend can you explain to me what is pbo؟؟؟؟

essentially an auto overclock to the cpu.

and is just as good as a manual in most cases, since ryzen does not have a big headroom for overclocking, overclocking memory is more beneficial.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

so why people and youtubers love overclocking t manualy if they can do it aotumaticly

and why i focused on overclocking memory if i can just enable xmp and done

xmp will run the advertised speeds of the kit, you could go further with manual.

as i said, pbo usually does the same thing, though not always, not sure what videos you're referring to though.

so the gaming plus max you can overclock the memory on it normally؟؟

because some motherboards the overclock of memory on it is sucks

blue screens and problems etc.....

so this motherboard is good in terms of overclocking memory

and the videos i mean by overclocking the cpu

its the manual overclocking

they change the cpu ratio and the volt manualy

you got the point

it can handle it, it depends on a lot of factors, but the board is fine for it.

that does not mean that it's the board, instability is normal when overclocking, it's a trial and error process.

depends on the memory IC's, the imc of the cpu and the board's topology, and the board is fine.

i'm sorry if i ask a lot of questions and i boring you or I I bothered you

i thought myself i'm unstoppable in hardware and i know everything

when i come to this website and start see what is in it

i'm shocked

i see informations and Terms i see it first time in my life

I discovered that I am a noob xd

not noob but you can say between good and semi pro

i know lot of things about hardware but i don't know the Very accurate technical terms you know what i mean

ic's are essentially the dram on the stick.

imc is the integrated memory controller.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

do you thiks the b450 gaming plus max is overkill for ryzen 3 3100

i want this board for future proofing so i can upgrade my parts to something better

i can get the b450 ds3h with ryzen 3 3100 and it will works fine

but i want something for future because i will not stick on my parts for ever

Not really i guess.

im running a board with 10 sic639's (50a drmos.) for a 3100, which is really overkill but i don't really care.

it will, but the ds3h well isn't really the best board, the gaming plus will work nicely.

Yes, that's why I choose b450 gaming plus max instead of b450 ds3h
