Samsung probably doesn't care, wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even know about it after initial check on their sponsored video.

Besides, it's not like they talked crap about the TV, they just prioritized different function (gaming vs. movies).

The problems i forsee with the BFGDs.

Price 1st and formost. As soon as you aim a product at the 'gaming' market, u can immediately add a huge markup on it..just becouse.

Size. yes its called Big for a reason, but they should have done 2 models, a 49" and a 75".  65" is goign to way to big for most, and way to small for the rest. LMG's setup being a prime example, the screen looks to small for such a setup.

Panel quality. Monitors have vastly inferior panel QA, especialy in regards ot unifortmity and BLB,i hope the fact they are using pre existing models used for normal TV's means the panels wont have the same issue, the quality of the rest of the product however is up in the air.

Specific technologies: Things like FALD, i would hope its a super high density array, otherwise its going to look like ass in some gaming scenerios, and especialy for normal PC use, nobody wants a massive halo following their curser on a dark desktop background. Low density FALD however is all to common with plenty of monitors and even TV's having less than 20 zones. Even if you allow for a 1 inch square area per zone, which is still a larger area than a curser on screen, thats 1805 zones, i dont see it happening. I have seen reports that the BFGDs will only have 384 zones which isnt anywhere near enough.

Pixel response. I doubt it will be fast enough. at 120hz the 100% transition speed needs to be less than 8.33ms, and the 80% transition should idealy be less than 4ms. I highley doubt it will achieve that.
