tbh, getting a gtx 1050ti 2 years after launch sounds dumb, as new RTX2060 mobile laptops should cost ~$1000 at cheapest model

No they will definitely not, the 2060 chip is significantly larger and more expensive to produce than the 1060. Cheapest 2060 laptops will be around the 1400-1500 mark.

Consider that the cheapest 1060 6gb laptop when not on sale is still $1k, now add the fact that RTX is brand new and the added cost of the 2060 compared to the 1060 and that does not point to something being as cheap as current gen.
